Bateman's is a beautiful 17th-century Jacobean house that was the home of Rudyard Kipling from 1902 until his death in 1936. The rooms remain much as Kipling left them, including the study where he wrote some of his finest works. The garden features a working watermill and the charming Puck's Hill.
