Horton Court is a Cotswold manor house with a remarkable 12th-century Norman hall, one of the oldest domestic interiors in England. The house was later remodelled in the 16th century by William Knight, a diplomat for Henry VIII, who added an Italianate loggia inspired by his travels in Rome. The detached ambulatory in the garden is a rare example of early Renaissance architecture in England.
