OPW's social guide names the main car park on Sarah Curran Avenue and says parking is free; from it a gravel path runs beside the playing fields to the gate lodge and the avenue to the museum, under half a kilometre, which reviewers call a ten-minute walk. Vehicular access to the museum itself is through the main gates on Grange Road, with a small car park beside the house suited to blue badge holders and drop-offs; a reviewer with limited mobility was advised to arrive by taxi. A further small car park is on Taylor's Lane at its junction with Grange Road (R113). Coach parking. The park is about 8 km from the city centre; Dublin Bus serves Grange Road (the guide's route numbers predate the city's bus redesign, so check current services).

The Pearse Museum in St Enda's Park, Rathfarnham, is the granite house known as the Hermitage where Patrick Pearse, leader of the 1916 Rising, lived and ran his pioneering Irish-speaking school from 1910 to 1916. Set in nearly twenty hectares of parkland eight kilometres from the city centre, the museum tells the story of Pearse and his brother Willie, both executed for their part in the Rising, through an exhibition on his life and the historic rooms where the family and their students lived and worked, including the entrance hall from which the brothers left home for the last time. The museum is entered through the walled garden, and a nature room and the Schoolroom Café share the courtyard. The romantic landscape around the house holds a wild river valley, woodland and eighteenth- and nineteenth-century follies. Entry is free, the main car park on Sarah Curran Avenue is free and a ten-minute walk from the house, and dogs are welcome on a lead in the park.
Later dates are in the calendar.
