Open all year during reasonable daylight hours; no admission charge. Cadw may close monuments at short notice in extreme weather.
Terrain level 2, easy: grassed ground around the footings, which may be slippery or muddy, with oak steps whose foot gets spongy and waterlogged in wet weather; keep behind the guardrails and do not climb the tower. Neighbouring farmland may have grazing animals. No toilets or facilities at the abbey. Natural Resources Wales's three waymarked woodland trails opposite have storm damage, with only the Talley Views walk fully open on 17 October 2026. Drones are not permitted.
Dogs: Dogs on short leads are welcome on the ground level of the abbey, which is the whole site.
