Woolsthorpe Manor

Woolsthorpe Manor is the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton, where he was born on Christmas Day 1642 and later developed his theories of light, gravity, and calculus. The modest 17th-century farmhouse still contains the room where Newton conducted his famous prism experiments. In the garden stands a descendant of the apple tree said to have inspired his theory of gravity.
