The usual car park is temporarily closed for forestry works; park at the road junction beside the old church, which adds about 15 minutes each way (NTS, September 2026). The access track is still passable on foot.
Free entry for National Trust members
This place is cared for by the National Trust for Scotland, a separate charity. Under the INTO reciprocal visiting arrangement, National Trust members from England, Wales and Northern Ireland get free standard entry. Show your current membership card at admissions.

From the B8035 turn at Tiroran and follow the Burg signs to the end of the tarmac, then through two gates along the track to the Trust car park at grid reference NM477275, 22 miles from Craignure. In 2026 it is temporarily unavailable for forestry works: use the road junction beside the old church, about 15 minutes' extra walk. No facilities; NTS does not say whether there is a charge.
