Chirk Castle

Chirk Castle is a magnificent medieval fortress completed in 1310, the last of Edward I's chain of castles and the only one that has been continuously inhabited for over 700 years. The interior spans from medieval dungeon to elegant state rooms with fine furniture and tapestries. The award-winning gardens feature clipped yew hedges, herbaceous borders and a stunning wrought-iron gate made by the Davies brothers in 1719.
