Marsden Moor Estate

Marsden Moor Estate is a vast expanse of open moorland on the Pennine watershed above the Colne Valley in West Yorkshire. Covering over 5,600 acres of blanket bog, heather moor and rough grassland, it is one of the largest upland estates managed by the National Trust. The moor is important for ground-nesting birds including curlew, golden plover and merlin, and the estate is the site of ongoing peatland restoration work.
