Patterson's Spade Mill

Patterson's Spade Mill near Templepatrick is the last surviving water-driven spade mill in daily use in the British Isles. Founded in 1919, the mill demonstrates the complete spade-making process from hammer to finish using water-powered trip hammers. Guided tours show visitors the traditional techniques that once served farming communities across Ireland.
