Shaw's Corner

Shaw's Corner is the former home of George Bernard Shaw, the Nobel Prize-winning playwright, who lived here from 1906 until his death in 1950. The Edwardian Arts and Crafts house remains much as Shaw left it, with his desk, typewriter and personal belongings offering an intimate portrait of one of the 20th century's greatest literary figures. At the bottom of the garden stands his famous revolving writing hut, designed so he could always work facing the sun.
