The National Trust says free parking is available in Bradenham village (HP14 4HF), with spaces opposite the cricket pavilion. The map pin is the cricket pavilion beside the village green, 45 metres from the Trust's own pin, which reverse-geocodes to Bradenham Wood Lane.
A small National Trust car park on Smalldean Lane (HP27 0PR) lies 1.5 miles north of the village at 51.683641, -0.810750 (the Google listing 'Bradenham National Trust Car Park'). Reviewers say it is free, holds only four to seven cars, has deep potholes at the entrance and opens straight onto woodland paths.
Saunderton station, on the Chiltern line, is 1 mile from the village.
Bradenham is a National Trust estate in the Chiltern Hills around a village of brick and flint houses on a green with a cricket pitch, managed from Hughenden alongside Watlington Hill and Coombe Hill. The 11th-century church of St Botolph and the 17th-century manor, once home to Isaac D'Israeli, father of Benjamin, stand above the green; the manor is not open to visitors. Around the village, rare chalk grassland rich in wild flowers and butterflies gives way to beech woods full of bluebells in spring, farmland views and hidden archaeology in the ancient woodland, all criss-crossed by footpaths. The Red Lion pub is now a tea room serving breakfasts and lunches to walkers. Tips from visitors: the small Trust car park on Smalldean Lane holds only a handful of cars and has deep potholes at the entrance, though it opens straight onto woodland paths; Saunderton station is a mile away. Three waymarked walks start from the village, from a 2-mile countryside trail to an 8-mile hills, valleys and woodlands circuit.
The National Trust publishes no opening calendar for Bradenham; the village, parkland and woods are open countryside reached on public footpaths.
Bradenham Manor, the 17th-century house above the green, is not open to visitors.
The Red Lion in the village is run as a tea room serving homemade breakfasts and lunches; the Trust publishes no hours for it. No toilets are listed by the Trust.
