Jewry Wall is a surviving section of a Roman public bath house, built around AD 160 in the town that became Leicester. Rising more than nine metres, the masonry is a reminder of the scale of Roman civic buildings, and the adjacent foundations help suggest the wider bathing complex. English Heritage's free visitor offer is the view from St Nicholas' Walk, a public footpath beside the ruins. Entering the archaeological area and exploring the displays inside Jewry Wall Museum are separate, charged visits with their own operator and opening arrangements. The street-level viewpoint makes this a straightforward stop while exploring the city centre, and the official guidance identifies it as wheelchair accessible. Use nearby public parking and continue on foot. Dogs on leads are welcome on St Nicholas' Walk, while the museum admits guide dogs only.
