Lyveden

Lyveden is an unfinished Elizabethan lodge built by Sir Thomas Tresham to express his Catholic faith through symbolic architecture. The roofless shell, with its elaborate friezes of religious symbols, stands as a remarkable monument to recusant devotion. The surrounding garden preserves rare Elizabethan earthworks including moated canals, terraces, and an orchard.
