Melford Hall

Melford Hall is a turreted Tudor mansion in the village of Long Melford, home to the Hyde Parker family since 1786. The house has a distinguished history — Elizabeth I was entertained here lavishly in 1578, and Beatrix Potter was a regular visitor who used the hall as inspiration for The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck. The interior features a Regency library, Victorian bedrooms and a collection of Chinese porcelain, while the grounds include a charming walled garden and parkland.
