Ickworth is one of the most unusual country houses in England, with an enormous Italianate rotunda at its centre flanked by curving wings. Built by the eccentric 4th Earl of Bristol in the late 18th century, the house contains outstanding collections of Georgian silver, Regency furniture, and Old Master paintings. The 1,800-acre parkland, partly designed by Capability Brown, includes an Italianate garden, vineyard walk, and woodland play area.
