Runnymede

Runnymede is the historic meadow on the banks of the River Thames where King John sealed the Magna Carta in 1215, establishing the principles of justice and liberty that have influenced democracies around the world. The riverside landscape includes the Magna Carta Memorial built by the American Bar Association, the John F. Kennedy Memorial set within an acre of English ground given to the United States, and the Commonwealth Air Forces Memorial commemorating over 20,000 airmen who lost their lives in World War II.
