Sandymouth is a tidal beach between Bude and Morwenstow in North Cornwall, backed by sheer cliffs of rock twisted 300 million years ago and a pebble ridge that gives way to sand as the tide drops. It is popular with surfers and rock-poolers, waterfalls spill down the cliffs, RNLI lifeguards cover it in season and dogs are welcome under control. The South West Coast Path runs along the cliff top, with Trust trails to Duckpool and inland through Stowe Wood.
