Driving pin: the Stackpole Quay car park (Google geocode of 'Stackpole Quay Car Park, Pembroke SA71 5DD': 51.624981, -4.902716), about 200 m up the lane from the harbour. The NT page pin and the Google listing (51.6238, -4.9003) sit on the quay itself at the end of the pedestrian path. The trail page gives the car park as grid ref SR990958.
The 387/388 Coastal Cruiser bus from Pembroke Dock stops at Stackpole Quay car park. Nearest station Pembroke, 6 miles.
Stackpole Quay is a tiny inlet between two cliffs on the Pembrokeshire coast, its masonry harbour rebuilt in 1735 by the Earl of Cawdor to replace a quay of 1680. Under the Cawdors it shipped out lime and limestone and landed coal, slate, bricks and luxury goods for Stackpole Court, whose 3,000-acre estate is now a Grade I listed landscape. The Boathouse tea-room has seats inside and out on a lawn above the harbour. From the car park the coast path climbs a long flight of steps to Barafundle Bay, half a mile away. Reviewers find the quay itself modest and use the car park, cafe and toilets as a base for Barafundle or a circuit by Broad Haven South and the Bosherston lily ponds. Tips from visitors: the lane in is very narrow, the steps rule out pushchairs, and there are sheer drops around the quay. Dogs are welcome under close control, on a lead near livestock. The six-mile Stackpole Estate wildlife walk starts from the car park.
NT's opening calendar lists Stackpole Quay open dawn to dusk every day to the end of 2026. The Boathouse tea-room keeps its own hours.
Blue Badge parking and adapted toilets with grab rails at the car park. The path from the car park to the tea-room and on to the harbour is uneven, and the coast path and trails are steep with steps, unsuitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Ramped access and an induction loop at the Boathouse tea-room.
Dogs are welcome under close control and may go into the Boathouse tea-room; the estate has farm animals, ponies, otters, water birds and ground-nesting birds, so keep dogs on a lead where needed and do not leave them in the car.
Barafundle Bay is a half-mile walk along the cliff top with long flights of steps at both ends.

Dogs at the location: Allowed. Dogs are welcome at the quay under close control and may be taken into the Boathouse tea-room.
Dog walks in the grounds: Allowed. Dogs can walk the coast path from the quay to Barafundle Bay and across the estate all year under close control, on a lead around Stackpole Warren, the coastal grassland between Barafundle and Broad Haven South and the Bosherston Lakes because of grazing livestock. Free access, no ticket needed.
Dog walks in the surrounding area: Allowed. The Trust welcomes dogs along the coast path from Stackpole Quay and on the beach at Barafundle Bay beyond the quay itself; only NT estate land was checked, not the coast path beyond the estate.
Leads: Under close control; on a lead if necessary around farm animals, ponies and wildlife, and on leads around Stackpole Warren, the grassland between Barafundle and Broad Haven South and the Bosherston Lakes.
Seasonal dog restrictions: None stated; dogs welcome all year round.
