Tattershall Castle

Tattershall Castle is a dramatic red-brick tower keep built in the 1430s by Ralph Cromwell, Lord Treasurer of England. Rising six storeys and over 30 metres high, it is one of the finest examples of medieval brick building in England. The castle was rescued from demolition by Lord Curzon in 1911, who donated it to the National Trust along with its impressive Gothic fireplaces.
