Toys Hill is the highest point in Kent, a wooded hilltop in the Greensand Ridge offering far-reaching views across the Weald. The ancient woodland of beech and oak was devastated by the Great Storm of 1987 but has regenerated naturally, creating a mosaic of habitats for wildlife. The site was a favourite retreat of Octavia Hill, co-founder of the National Trust, who lived nearby at Crockham Hill.
