Wicken Fen

Wicken Fen is one of Britain's oldest nature reserves and one of Europe's most important wetlands. This ancient fenland, the National Trust's first nature reserve acquired in 1899, supports over 9,000 species including rare butterflies, birds, and plants. The reserve offers boardwalk trails, a windpump, and boat trips, and is part of the Wicken Fen Vision to create a 53-square-kilometre nature reserve.
