Bath Assembly Rooms

The Bath Assembly Rooms are a magnificent suite of 18th-century public rooms designed by John Wood the Younger and opened in 1771 as the social heart of Georgian Bath. The rooms include the grand Ball Room, Tea Room and Octagon, with their original chandeliers and fine neoclassical interiors. Featured in Jane Austen's novels Northanger Abbey and Persuasion, the building was restored after World War II bomb damage.
