Open all year during reasonable daylight hours; no admission charge. Cadw may close monuments at short notice in extreme weather.
Terrain level 2, easy: a tarmac path into a level grass field with tree-covered banks, slippery when wet, and a cliff edge above the river on the east side. No toilets or facilities. Drones are not permitted.
Dogs: Cadw: 'Dogs welcome'; the enclosure is on Cadw's dog-friendly days out list for south-east Wales, which asks for dogs under control and on a short lead at all times and for owners to clean up after their pets. An open-air, ground-level site.
