The Trust's page does not say how parking is charged.
Historic Scotland names no parking: the church is a mile north-west of Cockburnspath, off the A1, in the parkland of the Dunglass Estate. Reviewers describe a small parking area for about three cars close to the church; no official charge or free statement exists, so the status is recorded as unknown.
Driving pin: the small parking area, 84 m north of Historic Scotland's own pin, from which a line of stone slabs crosses the grass to the church. Historic Scotland gives journey planners only.
Dunglass Collegiate Church stands in the landscaped parkland of the Dunglass Estate near Cockburnspath, a cross-shaped church of pink-hued sandstone founded in the 1440s by Sir Alexander Home, whose college of priests prayed for his family's souls. It still keeps its vaulted nave and choir, transepts, central bell tower and stone-slabbed roof, with fine carving: a three-seated sedilia on corbels of angels playing instruments, consecration crosses and a wall tomb with two female heads, surely Lady Home's. Dunglass lay on the main road between Scotland and England, beside the Homes' vanished castle; James IV heard Mass here, and James VI spent his last night in Scotland here in 1603 on his way to the English throne. During the Rough Wooing in the 1540s the English dug entrenchments round it. After the Reformation it became a stable and coach-house in 1710, which caused most of the damage, including the gaping hole in the east gable. It is now a popular wedding venue and closes every Wednesday and Saturday in July.
Historic Scotland: 'Dunglass Collegiate Church is open year-round and free to visit. Due to wedding services, the church will be closed every Wednesday and Saturday in July.' The church is a popular wedding venue for the neighbouring Dunglass Estate, so it may also be closed for a ceremony on other days.
Information boards inside the church. No toilets or other facilities for visitors.
