Dunster Castle

Dunster Castle is a dramatically sited medieval fortress perched on a steep hill overlooking the Bristol Channel, remodelled in the 19th century as a comfortable country home. The castle has been occupied for over 1,000 years, with a gatehouse, towers, and interiors spanning the medieval, Jacobean, and Victorian periods. The subtropical terraced gardens feature rare plants, a working watermill, and views to Exmoor.
