Lindisfarne Castle stands on a dramatic rocky promontory on Holy Island, accessible only by a tidal causeway from the Northumberland coast. Originally a Tudor fort, it was converted into a private home by architect Edwin Lutyens in 1903. The castle features a small but charming walled garden designed by Gertrude Jekyll and offers spectacular views across the sea and coastline.
