Monk's House

Monk's House is a modest weatherboarded cottage that was the country retreat of Virginia and Leonard Woolf from 1919 until Leonard's death in 1969. The house contains personal belongings, painted furniture, and the couple's eclectic art collection. The tranquil cottage garden, where Virginia wrote in her lodge, overlooks the Ouse Valley.
