About

Standen is an outstanding Arts and Crafts house designed by Philip Webb and furnished with William Morris textiles and wallpapers. Built in the 1890s, it is one of the finest examples of the Arts and Crafts movement in Britain. The hillside garden offers beautiful views over Ashdown Forest and includes a quarry garden and conservatory.
