The Firs is the modest cottage in Lower Broadheath where the composer Sir Edward Elgar was born in 1857. The house and adjacent museum contain a rich collection of Elgar's manuscripts, personal belongings and concert programmes, tracing his journey from a Worcestershire music shop owner's son to England's greatest composer. The garden has been restored to reflect how it would have appeared during Elgar's childhood.
