The Greyfriars is a timber-framed merchant's house built in 1480 on Friar Street in Worcester, one of the finest examples of a late medieval town house in England. The house was rescued from demolition in 1946 by the Matley Moore family, who restored it and filled the panelled rooms with period furniture and textiles. The walled garden behind the house provides a peaceful retreat from the city centre with herbaceous borders and an orchard.
