Tintinhull Garden

Tintinhull Garden is an exquisite small garden created around a 17th-century farmhouse in Somerset, widely considered one of the finest examples of a 20th-century English garden. The garden is designed as a series of interconnected outdoor rooms, each with its own colour theme and character, linked by paths and vistas. Planted by Phyllis Reiss between the 1930s and 1960s, and later maintained by the celebrated garden writer Penelope Hobhouse, the garden demonstrates the art of garden design on an intimate scale.
