Beatrix Potter Gallery

The Beatrix Potter Gallery is housed in a 17th-century building in Hawkshead that was once the office of Potter's husband, the solicitor William Heelis. The gallery displays a rotating selection of Beatrix Potter's original illustrations and watercolours, alongside personal items and memorabilia. The building itself retains its original interior layout as a working solicitor's office.
