Stagshaw Garden is an informal woodland garden on the hillside above Ambleside, created by the former regional National Trust agent Cubby Acland. The garden is celebrated for its magnificent collection of azaleas, rhododendrons and camellias, which create a spectacular display in spring. Paths wind through the garden offering glimpses of Windermere through the trees.
