Hill Top

Hill Top is the 17th-century farmhouse where Beatrix Potter wrote and illustrated many of her beloved children's stories. The house is preserved exactly as she left it, filled with her furniture, china and personal belongings. The cottage garden provided inspiration for many of her illustrations and remains a highlight of any visit to the Lake District.
