Wray Castle

Wray Castle is a Gothic Revival castle on the western shore of Windermere, built in the 1840s for a retired surgeon. The young Beatrix Potter spent a holiday here in 1882, sparking her lifelong love of the Lake District. The castle interior is largely unfurnished but hosts interactive displays and dressing-up activities for families.
