Clouds Hill is the tiny isolated cottage that was the rural retreat of T. E. Lawrence — Lawrence of Arabia — where he sought solitude after his wartime adventures. The spartan rooms remain much as Lawrence left them, filled with his books, gramophone, and personal effects. Lawrence died in a motorcycle accident nearby in 1935, and the cottage offers a uniquely intimate portrait of one of the 20th century's most enigmatic figures.
