Conisbrough Castle

Open daily 10am-5pm until 24 October 2026, then 10am-4pm from 25 October to 1 November. Closed 2 November-20 December 2026. Check the official calendar for holidays, later dates and event exceptions.

Last entry normally 30 minutes before closing.

EH members receive free standard admission with their membership card. National Trust membership alone does not cover admission. Advance booking is optional for ordinary admission; check special events separately.

Steep slopes and varied surfaces; keep has more than 100 steps to the top and no lift. The accessible visitor centre has a cutaway model/virtual tour alternative. Accessible bays and arranged drop-off are available by the visitor centre.

Parking: EH recommends Calvert Way, opposite the private car park at the bottom of Castle Hill, or legal village street parking. Do not use the private Castle Hill car park. Accessible bays are outside the visitor centre; arrange any drop-off in advance. Current public parking tariff not confirmed.

Directions: Uses the exact sat-nav arrival coordinates published by English Heritage, not a postcode centroid. Google searches for Calvert Way returned the private Castle Hill car park or the castle itself, so neither was accepted as public parking. Follow the linked official directions to Calvert Way opposite the private car park, or legal village street parking. The pin is an approach reference, not a parking-space guarantee.
