Spring & summer hours
Normally open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays in season from 11:00, with guided tours of the deep shelter every 30 minutes and the last tour at 3pm. Check the day's times on the White Cliffs of Dover page before travelling.
Tickets are sold at the tunnel entrance on a first come, first served basis, by cash or card; tours cannot be reserved. Free for National Trust members with a valid card.
No toilets or catering at the shelter or emplacement; use the White Cliffs visitor centre or the lighthouse before setting out. Assistance dogs only in the tunnels.

A minimum age of 8 is advised for the 125 steps and the tour content.
Arrive on foot, by bike or by public transport.
There is no vehicle access to the deep shelter or emplacement. Park at the National Trust White Cliffs of Dover car park at Langdon Cliffs, postcode CT16 1HJ, free for members and Blue Badge holders and £6 for everyone else, then walk about 40 minutes along the clifftop path.
When the additional parking area is open, signed at the main entrance, it is about 15 minutes' walk from Fan Bay and the lighthouse.
The car park gate locks at 7pm and a release fee applies after that.
