Shute Barton

Shute Barton is one of the most important surviving medieval manor houses in Devon, with parts dating from the late 14th century. The battlemented gatehouse and great hall reflect its origins as a fortified residence of the Bonville family during the Wars of the Roses. The house retains remarkable original features including a massive fireplace and Tudor windows.
