Open all year during reasonable daylight hours; no admission charge. Cadw asks visitors to come in daylight for safety. Cadw may close monuments at short notice in extreme weather. The retreat centre and its 1934 chapel next door belong to the Archdiocese of Cardiff and are not part of the monument.
Terrain level 2, easy: an exposed clifftop field that may be slippery or muddy, reached by a footpath with a slope of about 1 in 8, two kissing gates and a nine-inch step, stile-free; neighbouring farmland may have grazing cattle. Guardrails protect the ruin and there is a risk of dislodged stones. No toilets or facilities. Drones are not permitted.
