The Langdales

The Langdales encompass two of the Lake District's most dramatic valleys, Great Langdale and Little Langdale, surrounded by some of the finest peaks in England. The distinctive profile of the Langdale Pikes is one of the most recognisable mountain silhouettes in Britain. The valleys contain a Neolithic stone axe factory site and offer walks ranging from gentle riverside paths to challenging fell scrambles.
