Carding Mill Valley is a beautiful valley carved into the Long Mynd, a dramatic moorland plateau in the Shropshire Hills. Named after the textile mills that once operated here, the valley offers walks ranging from gentle strolls along the stream to challenging hikes up to the windswept summit with views across to Wales. The stream that runs through the valley is popular with families for paddling and dam-building, while the surrounding moorland supports skylarks, red grouse and dippers.
