Coleridge Cottage in Nether Stowey is where the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge lived with his family from 1797 to 1800 and wrote some of his greatest works, including The Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Kubla Khan. The modest cottage has been preserved with period furnishings and contains displays about Coleridge's life and the extraordinary literary circle that gathered in the Quantock Hills, including William and Dorothy Wordsworth who moved to nearby Alfoxden to be close to their friend.
