Hod Hill is one of the largest Iron Age hillforts in Britain, with dramatic ramparts enclosing over 50 acres of Dorset downland. The Romans later built a fort in one corner after conquering the site in AD 43. Today the hill offers panoramic views across the Stour Valley and is rich in wildflowers and butterflies.
