Kingston Lacy is a grand 17th-century country house built for the Bankes family after they lost Corfe Castle during the English Civil War. The lavish interiors contain an outstanding art collection, including works by Rubens, Titian, and Van Dyck, as well as an Egyptian obelisk in the grounds. The 8,500-acre estate includes ancient woodland, Iron Age hill forts, and the famous Badbury Rings.
