Plas Newydd

Plas Newydd is an elegant 18th-century mansion on the shores of the Menai Strait on Anglesey, home to the Marquesses of Anglesey. The house contains a spectacular 58-foot mural by Rex Whistler, one of the largest paintings on canvas in Britain. The gardens and grounds offer stunning views across the strait to the mountains of Snowdonia, and include a rhododendron garden and Australasian arboretum.
