Open all year, last admission 30 minutes before closing; closed 24, 25 and 26 December and 1 January. Cadw prints no daily hours; Visit Wales and Google give 10am to 4pm, and Cadw asks visitors to attend only during the set opening hours. No admission charge. Cadw also runs booked guided tours here on selected dates from May to August at £12 (Cadw members £10), which are an extra, not the admission; the 2026 season has ended. Cadw may close monuments at short notice in extreme weather.
The museum building on the site is closed: its collection was removed to National Museum Wales stores in 2009 to 2011 and it now serves only as an occasional visitor centre, so expect a single information board. Terrain level 2, easy: grass and gravel paths between low walls, with ditches, historic steps and slippery or uneven surfaces; no toilets. The bath house in the field across the road is fenced off and not open. The site can be hired for events and filming. Drones are not permitted.
Dogs: Cadw: 'Dogs welcome. Dogs on short leads welcome to access ground floor levels of the site.' Listed under North West Wales on Cadw's dog-friendly page: short lead at all times, ground floors only. An open-air site, so the rule is the short lead.
