Red House was designed by Philip Webb and William Morris in 1859 as Morris's family home and is regarded as the birthplace of the Arts and Crafts movement. The house features original Morris wall paintings, stained glass by Edward Burne-Jones, and innovative Gothic Revival architecture. The intimate garden was designed by Morris as a series of outdoor rooms.
