Seaton Delaval Hall is considered one of Sir John Vanbrugh's finest architectural works, a theatrical English Baroque masterpiece on the Northumberland coast. The central block was gutted by fire in 1822 and stands as a dramatic shell, while the flanking wings have been carefully restored. The gardens include a parterre, wildflower meadows and a recently restored play garden.
