Selborne Common

Selborne Common is an area of ancient beech hanger and chalk downland above the village made famous by naturalist Gilbert White. The Zig-Zag path, cut by White and his brother in 1753, climbs through the beech woods to the top of Selborne Hill with its panoramic views.
